What Defines Elite Physical Performance?

What defines elite physical performance? Is it how high an athlete can jump? How much weight an athlete can lift? How fast an athlete can run? Unfortunately, it’s not that simple when it comes to performance testing and sporting success. Our experience and data suggest we must look deeper into understanding the specific strengths and weaknesses of each individual athlete. Here are two examples of how the Better Faster Stronger testing system profiled athletes helping them reach their full athletic potential.

In this first example, we look beyond the raw data of jump height and identify unique physical traits with each athlete. This understanding helped each athlete identify their specific strengths and limitations, assisting them with their training focus.

Athlete A only jumps 66% of Athlete B when you compare their vertical jump height. However, when we look deeper into the data, Athlete A jumps in 26% less time compared to Athlete B.
